PAPERLESS BILLING
 

Sign up for paperless billing – A free and convenient way that will allow you to receive your monthly bill via your email address.

Sign up through the online bill pay link on our homepage. Click here to begin!

  1. Enter your email address then confirm it.
  2. Create a password for your new account, then confirm your password.
  3. Add your first name as it appears on your utility bill ex: John R Smith, you would enter John R as your first name.
  4. Enter your last name as it appears on your utility bill. If you are a business, you should enter your business name here.
  5. Enter your utility account number as it appears on your bill. Ex 012345-000. Make sure you enter all the zeros and dashes.
  6. Click on complete registration.
  7. Verify your email now by clicking on the hyperlink that says verify your email now. Go to your email box and locate the email from Chillicothe Municipal Utilities. Open it, click on the link to confirm.
  8.  After verifying your email go back into the online bill pay screen.
  9. Log into your new account.
  10. Click on My Profile tab.
  11. Under Accounts you will click on Edit.
  12. From there you will be able to select to receive your bill electronically.

CMU PAYMENT OPTIONS

ACH Bank Pay – A free and convenient option that will automatically deduct your utility payment from your bank account monthly. You will still receive a copy of your bill, then at least 10 days after the day the bill was mailed the amount will be deducted from your bank account.

Residential and commercial customers are eligible.

Funds must be drawn from US banks only.

Sign up by completing our ACH Form and return the signed form to the CMU Office along with a voided check.

Drop-box payments – Payments may be left in either one of our drop boxes located at 920 Washington in the north parking or by the front door facing Washington St. Payments are collected at 7:30 am and 3:00 pm M-F. Payments received after 3:00 pm will be processed on the next business day.

Walk-in Stations – Convenient walk-in stations are located at 920 Washington.  You may walk in and leave your payment with one of our Customer Service Representatives and it will be applied to your account that business day. We accept cash/check/money order, or you may use your credit or debit card for a fee of $ 2.50.  Office hours are 8:00 am – 4:00 pm M-F.

Pay Online – Registration required. echeck/credit/debit cards accepted. A $ 2.50 fee applies to all transactions. Payments will be posted to your CMU account if made by 3:45 pm. Payments received after 3:45 pm will be posted on the next business day.

U.S. Mail – Send your payment in the envelope enclosed with your bill. Be advised if you use this payment method that CMU is not responsible for mail delays, and penalties will be assessed due to late arrivals.
