Chillicothe Municipal Utilities is expanding our workforce and are currently accepting applications for the position of “Generation Superintendent” at the Beardmore Energy Center, 1611 Waterworks Road, Chillicothe, MO.
This position requires a High School Diploma or GED certificate with 12 years’ power generation experience, or an associate’s degree and eight years of power generation experience, or a bachelor’s degree and five years’ experience in power generation/power systems operations. Must have good knowledge of regulatory policies and procedures, engineering economics, accounting principles, computers, communications, labor laws, codes, and employee relations. Good speaking, writing, interpersonal, analytical, and supervisory skills are necessary.
Applicants should be familiar with welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, fuel systems, mechanical, troubleshooting, and schematic/blueprint comprehension. Additional knowledge of simple cycle combustion turbines, generators, and reciprocating internal combustion engines is necessary.
Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am -3:30 pm.
