Chillicothe Municipal Utilities is expanding our workforce and is currently accepting applications for the position of “Power Plant Operator/Maintenance” at the Beardmore Energy Center, 1611 Waterworks Road, Chillicothe, MO.
This position requires a High School Diploma or GED certificate with knowledge of computers and record keeping, to include familiarity with Microsoft products. Good speaking, writing, interpersonal, and analytical skills are necessary. Applicants should be familiar with welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, fuel systems, mechanical, troubleshooting, and schematic/blueprint comprehension. Additional knowledge of simple cycle combustion turbines, generators, and reciprocating internal combustion engines is desirable.
Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm, with some overtime required.
